Malaysia International Gourmet Festival, MIGF 2014

The Malaysia International Gourmet Festival is coming soon! For the whole month of October elegant dining restaurants around the city put together special menus highlighting the culinary delights to be found in the participating venues.  Menus in the past have ranged from simple and reasonably priced set lunches to extravagant multi-course affairs with wine pairing. There’s generally something for everybody.
This year there are 28 outlets taking part in the challenge. Most are found in the greater Kuala Lumpur area but there are entries from Langkawi and Genting Highlands too. Cuisines cover both Western and Asian, with some long standing establishments making a return and some newbies getting their knives wet too.
The Malaysia International Gourmet Festival runs from 1-31 October 2014. For a complete list of participating restaurants alongside the menus they will be presenting visit www.migf.com
As a special preview to MIGF 2014, Taste MIGF takes place from September 26th to 28th at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre. On the Saturday and Sunday of the event guests can visit the Theatre of Cuisines where samples of the chefs’ gourmet creations are sold in sampling size portions. This event allows foodies to taste a variety of dishes across restaurants and perhaps choose a few to return to for the full menus available in October.
From Friday to Sunday gourmet products are for sale, alongside cooking classes and wine appreciation talks in the Epicure International Gourmet Village.*** Buy your Gourmet Dollars online for Taste MIGF and receive 5% discount via this link.
