Ideal for both business and leisure travelers alike Best Western Premier is located smack bang in the middle of the cultural districts of KL and minutes from KL Sentral. In between Little India and Chinatown, guests have temples, shopping, heritage, markets and culinary adventures awaiting them just steps from the hotel. The Holy Rosary, KL’s oldest church, is right next door. Across the road the old train station and museum might be more of your interest and, if not, Lake Gardens with its various parks, museums and monuments are all not too much further afield. The business traveler can be at the airport in 28 minutes on the KLIA Express, and shoppers will be happy to know that a shuttle bus makes trips to Bukit Bintang, KLCC and Megamall on a daily schedule.

Best Western Premier is distinctly different to the three star Best Western budget hotels I had in mind that are so common in Australia. The Premier brand is a 4 star property with spacious facilities including an infinity pool, children’s pool, gymnasium, spa, five food and beverage outlets, room service, meeting rooms and a Premier lounge offering refreshments throughout the day and cocktail hours early evening.
Room choice is made easy with three distinct categories offering space, more space and even more space. The Deluxe rooms are ideal for friends or colleagues traveling together wishing to conserve their budget by sharing accommodation. Separate office, twin queen beds, twin bathroom sinks and a private separate toilet and shower means two pals can comfortably stay together while maintaining some sense of personal boundaries. The One Bedroom Club Suites provide a king bedroom, separate bath and shower and an adjoining kitchenette, lounge and office which can be sealed off with a sliding door. All are equipped with individual controlled air conditioning, two LCD interactive TVs and DVD player, free WIFI, iPod dock, digital safe and bath accessories such as hair dryer and robes. The Two Bedroom Executive Suites provide an extra bedroom and bathroom on top of what the one bedroom suite already offers. These three room categories are also available on the Premier floors which come with the added benefit of use of the Premier Lounge.

Leisure facilities on Level 6 offer spectacular views and services. From the infinity pool, the old palace surrounded by greenery and sunsets over the city can be savoured. The fountain and children’s pool overlooks one of the oldest churches in the city, the historic train station with its ornate mosque like peaks and further afield the Petronas and KL towers are a sight to behold at twilight as the sun fades, dark encroaches and the glittering city lights are switched on. This is the best spot for a sundowner and Hugo’s on 6 provides bountiful refreshment.

A gym stocked with cardio and resistance machines as well as a set of free weights assists you to work off all of the good food that you will no doubt be tempted by in the nearby Chinese and Indian themed eateries. Also on this level, a luxurious spa with both couple and individual rooms relaxes and rejuvenates weary bodies. The Premier Lounge is also accessible on this level providing guests staying on the Premier floors with all day refreshments and, when occupancy dictates, evening cocktail hours from 5:30 – 7:30pm.
The swanky Punch Lounge and Bar, and the fine dining restaurant, Grill 582, are destination establishments on the second floor worthy of a visit whether staying in the hotel or not. The all day dining restaurant, Kembali Kitchen, at lobby level is a bright happy place with giant windows and a leafy lining. International cuisine with a focus on local delights can be enjoyed both in the form of a buffet (when occupancy is high) or a la carte.

Best Western Hotels around the world have taken a stance against the sale of shark’s fin. Refusing to sell the environmental disaster is one of the Corporate Social Responsibility activities the chain is involved in. Best Western Premier at Dua Sentral has only been opened for two months but has already hosted under privileged children for a Hari Raya Buffet lunch as well as taking them for a shopping spree two weeks before Hari Raya. Further plans of CSR are being put in motion for this coming Christmas and New Year by working together with The Holy Rosary Church beside the Hotel.

my parents bought a suite apartment unit in this place for their vacation home whenever they visit kl, its a stunning place, i went there once and it felt like living in heaven :P, i would love to stay in such a a place 🙁
