Ben’s, KLCC, Malaysia

Ben’s is an affable place to meet friends in the KLCC area.  Located in California Pizza Kitchen’s old spot, its simple design,  large windows overlooking KLCC park and fountain, and comfortable oversized seating spur conversations to linger on as you leisurely pass the hours. Most meals I’ve eaten here have been toothsome with particular note going to the duck confit spaghettini with sun dried tomatoes. A sufficient selection of salads is offered but, unless you like your lettuce served drowning, remember to ask for the dressing on the side. Prices are reasonable for this area with most salads and pastas in the vicinity of 20RM.  Coffee is sourced from Melbourne and around 7RM for an espresso based drink. While the coffee is well made, with pretty crema artwork, I think most serious coffee drinkers might prefer a stronger blend.
