Fifty-seven floors up, next to Kuala Lumpur’s world famous Petrona’s Twin Towers, Marini’s on 57 is one of the city’s most lively and stylish places to go for an evening. The floor to ceiling windows provide incredible, close-up views of the towers and astounding sunset vistas over the KL skyline. Owner Modesto Marini’s keen interest in music comes across in his pursuit of world-class DJ’s to perform at Marini’s on 57, as well as, the creation of the “Marini’s on 57 Sunset Hours” compilation albums. The well-known Mambo Brothers from Ibiza were featured at Marini’s last Saturday. They have performed at music hot spots around the world, such as London, Dubai, Miami, Paris, Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro, and now Kuala Lumpur. Their excellent house and tech house sets were even further enhanced with a live bongo player, which set the stage for an exciting music experience and also got every person in the room to move their bodies. Great beats aside, their enthusiasm and engaging personalities set the tone for a fun and energetic night.

Marini’s creative signature cocktail list offers drinks such as the Jungle Bird, described as “Malaysia’s very own lost and forgotten Tiki Potion” (dark rum, Campari, pineapple, lime juice).  Another favorite is the The Scottish Martini (earl grey infused scotch, tamarind syrup, lemon juice, egg white). The five-page menu of wine, champagne, and spirits offers any and everything one can imagine, including Cachaca from Brazil and over fifty whiskies. The bar has a food menu with creative dishes ranging from an Angus beef burger with goose liver, to pizza, to more high-end options such as Russian or Iranian caviar and oysters.
