The Sheraton Social Hour promises to be a socially and tastefully rewarding time
Three wines from the Wines of the World menu at Sheraton Imperial Hotel Kuala Lumpur
The Sheraton Social Hour promises to be an easy meeting platform for guests and visitors to the hotel alike. Happening every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5pm to 8pm, the gathering will take the form of a wine tasting, scaffolding interactions between participants through world class wine sampling. Three 50ml pours of premium wines from the Wines of the World menu will be featured each Social Hour for a price of RM40++ at the Pavilions Lounge. Stoizle stemware will cup each wine ensuring the unique palate and bouquet of each varietal is captured.
Kicking off the event this week, the first three wines presented were two from Italy and one from New Zealand. Le Rime, a chardonnay and pinot grigio blend from Tuscany by Banfi, is an appealing pale white, with citrus notes and an apple orchard bouquet. It makes an elegant before meal drop. The Villa Maria Private Bin Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, gushing with fruity aromas, delighting with fervor and abundance and finishing crisp and clean does the region proud. Light fish and salad plates would be a good companion to this wine. Lastly, the Coli di Sasso cabernet sauvignon and sangiovese blend, with its violaceous hues and dark berry bouquet is plush in taste with black cherry flavours and suggestions of oak persisting well after the last sip. Simply grilled meats and pasta would go handsomely with this red.
Reason to visit: a chance to form new friendships over premium wine
Wine + new friends, sounds like Sheraton is the new sweet spot for single ppl =)
ooh, yes! but also just wine lovers in general. 🙂
Not for me… I'm staying off alcohol. 🙁
Good choice. 😉
i love to drink wines but kinda pricey over here..
In Italy, I could get a very good wine for Euro10..
You're right! We pay tremendous amounts for a decent drop here. In Australia wine is a third of the price.
Social hour is a great way to mingle and meet some new faces…I bumped into two VERY charming people there 🙂
Hee! They were charming weren't they? 😉
groans! it's tuesday today! wishing it were wednesday already, so i could slip in and out of here and sip some sure-to-be-satisfying wine 😀
Ah ha, that's right, you're office is nearby. A great way to avoid the peak hour traffic. 🙂
