Multi-award-winning THANN Sanctuary Hong Kong, originating from Thailand, is located in VITA in Harbour City. Six floors of beauty, health, fitness and products can be found in this section of the mall, and THANN Sanctuary is one of its most popular tenants. Housing only six treatment rooms, a reservation is essential. 

The spa’s interior is calming, with soft lighting, warm grey tiling, and steamy water features, creating a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The reception area is welcoming and inviting, with friendly staff ready to assist and guide me through the services and treatments available. The spa’s Thai design and intimate layout exude luxury, and the scent of essential oils fills the air, serving to direct thought into a tranquil mindset before treatments have even begun.

Treatment Rooms

The treatment rooms are equally impressive, each equipped with individual shower facilities and soft, comfortable beds. The attention to detail in the design of the rooms is evident, with the lighting and decor providing a soothing ambience for the ultimate relaxation experience. The therapists are highly skilled and attentive, ensuring that every need is met during my treatment.

Details such as disposable mesh underwear (as opposed to those horrible paper-like panties resembling diapers), heated massage beds, in-room showers and an ambient temperature that is ‘just right’ make THANN Sanctuary stand out above other spas you might find with similar pricing.

THANN Sanctuary Hong Kong’s spa menu offers a range of treatments, including traditional Thai massages, aromatherapy massages, body scrubs, and facials. Their signature massage, the THANN Sanctuary Signature Massage (90 mins, HK 1280), is a must-try. The massage combines traditional Thai massage techniques with Western aromatherapy, providing a unique and rejuvenating experience. 

For those with less time, the Foot Massage (45 mins, HK 600) is an excellent choice. Besides an expert foot treatment, the room air is purified with a salt steam inhalation facility. I found it therapeutic, but people with respiratory problems report significant benefits, with the saline air assisting in flushing out accumulated pollutants. (I could do with one of these in Malaysia right now with the current air quality.) Therapists use high-quality, all-natural ingredients in their treatments, including essential oils, herbs, and plant extracts.
