H-Artistry, Global Art of Mixing

H-Artistry, Global Art of Mixing by Caning Jaramillo

A media invitation nearly got lost in our busy e-mail inbox. It said “H-Artistry Global Art of Mixing Trilogy.” As a good Venezuelan, a liquor
party invitation is always welcome. So, despite sighs from my sweetie to the tune of, “How are we going to fit another event in?”, I convinced her that this one was not to be missed.

I started getting excited not
only for the party but with thoughts of free-flow Hennessy V.S.O.P., Very Superior Old Pale indeed. Like a child counting sleeps until Christmas, my wife rolled her eyes as I reported how many nights until I could delight my palate with this famous
aged brandy.

We arrived on time as
usual (my Aussie better half insists) and once registered we were escorted to a buzzing pre party lounge
full of 3D lights and party goers. Attractive H-Artistry ambassadors were stationed at the bar pouring the cognac straight up but also mixing signature Hennessy V.S.O.P
long drinks. First, I ordered a glass neat to appreciate the unobstructed taste of the spirit. My mind went instantly to party mood after comprehending a real nectar. Then, in the name of blogging, I proceeded to sample all of the mixed offerings including Hennessy Apple, Hennessy Berry, Hennessy Ginger and Hennessy Soda. The sweetness of Hennessy Apple
and Hennessy Berry were my picks, while Monica unsweetened and strengthened her choice of Hennessy Ginger with added shots of straight liquor.
The Hennessy 360
Cam proved popular amusement before the main gates opened. Groups of people posed on a podium with various props while being videoed creating a 360 degree memory. Finally the principal floor was opened and guests flooded the enormous dance space. With no food in sight and no empty glasses to be seen, the entire crowd was soon light headed and in groove mode.
With excellent sound, fantastic light displays and rockin’ international performers, the energy continued to build as the night progressed. Although the event was full, there was sufficient space to dance and move around without playing bump ’ems with the person next to you.
The Hennessy event was the second
installment of 2012’s Global Art of Mixing Trilogy. Top performances featuring hot dj’s but also impressive light displays and dancers kept the crowd bopping. Headlining was incredible EDM
(Electronic Dance Music) by siren Eva Simons. Supported by Jakarta’s DJ
Angger Dimas, KL’s fast-rising electronic dance by BATE (Brain and The Eye), as well as hipster duo Mr Nasty and Guru (a.k.a Bass
Agents), at one stage the whole crowded seemed to have the same pulse.
Don’t be sorry you missed this event, just be sure to sign yourself up for the next one:
