I visited The Bee at Publika purely and solely for a sugar fix. Hearing that they sold churros and not having indulged in the real deal for a few years I hunted them down. Incomparable to those in South America, Spain or Australia for that matter, but a decent substitute without having to jump continents. I steered clear of the Hershey’s chocolate sauce (‘ew’) and went straight for the dulce de leche (caramel) which was a credible attempt at the nectarous sauce. The Bee is spacious and inviting – cement floors, mismatched chairs, sofas and stools, an outdoor courtyard and a promising menu – worthy of further investigation.

gosh, it's a gastronomic travesty that churros hasn't caught on in KL, considering how so many of us have a sweet tooth! i can only think of a small handful of places where they're available, like publika and starhill, but i do try to order them whenever i spot them on the menu. i love how they manage to taste both light AND decadent at the same time. it's a miracle! 😀
I don't understand why either. When done well they can be soooo good!
I had my first churro in Melb and it was superb. I'm a big fan of choc sauce.. heeheh =)
I like choc sauce too – just not Hershey's.
Definitely more spacious compared to the Jaya One outlet. I should check this place out. 🙂
I think it's the Jaya One outlet where I first heard about the churros, but I'm not often on that side of town, so only just recently got to try them at Publika.
Churros here not good… 🙁
So far I havent found a gd place for churros yet
