Not planning on visiting Spain in the near future? Don’t worry, we have some very talented chefs right here in Kuala Lumpur cooking up some authentic dishes from both Barcelona and the south. For a Barcelona experience visit Chef David in Mercat, Bangsar, and for a little taste of the south, see what Chef Basilio, executive chef of Gastrodome, has cooking up in Pressroom and La Bodega.

  1. Sandwiches look great!

  2. Fantastic summation of the best eating places.
The idea of the map is excellent for those without
    any geographical knowledge.
Latitudes, longitudes and the Equator are foreign words to
some people and God forbid what the hell is the International
    Date line!!!!
Spain to some people could be Siberia!!
My twin, Manuel Benitz Perez aka "El Cordobes" would not be amused.
It was a rather long birth – I arrived on the scene 7 years later – ha ha!
Just imagine Siberian Muskox ( Fierce as they look) being in the Plaza del Toros!!!

Lovely summer winter day here – but August approaches so who knows what???
    Cheers
Colin El Cordobes the second and belated born twin.

  3. Sangria consumption!!! Let's just say I had far more than 1 or 3.
San Sebastian consumption was – now how shall I politely say it???
Oh damn – the "icing on the cake". That lovely elderly lady in the pensione
home where I stayed obviously had dealt with this malaise before. She
"FORCED" down my throat some weird concoction and within a very short
and painful experience over a toilet – both ends – I was cured!!!
Then in Madrid my intake was of the polite nature! Never again.
I wonder how your young El Cordobes would go with a Mushox – ha ha????
    Cheers
Colin "El Cordobes" – the late arriving twin.

  4. Thanks for the round up of Spanish food….they all look scrumptious. Thanks to your blog, I'm growing to be a fan of Spanish food (especially since Ohla and Pressroom)….would certainly want to try more in future! 😉

    • Okay, I have a new assignment for you! Mercat in Bangsar – authentic Barcelona style tapas. Fantastic chef and they now have their liquor license so you can have a true wine and tapas experience. 😉

  5. Hello, everything looks delicious! Thanks for sharing these restaurants. I am not sure if I will ever get to Spain. Have a happy day!

  6. Good selections of foods from the places on your map..time consuming for you to put the links on this post..

  7. So many great places!
