Padma Resort Ubud

Padma Resort Ubud, Bali, Indonesia

A couple of years back we stayed at Padma Resort in Legian. At that time we were impressed with the extraordinary number of artworks intertwined with Balinese architecture. Not particularly taken by the beach and surrounding district of Legian, we found that the expansive landscaped gardens and obvious value for the arts a sanctuary that we just didn’t expect to find in the immediate district.

The brand new opening of Padma Resort in the central hill country of Ubud however, seems to perfectly befit the cultural celebration that is this resort. Nestled in 11 hectares of stunning nature, the property overlooks an untouched river valley and the bamboo forests of Payangan. With crisp cerulean skies, lush tropical greenery and the contented ease of the Balinese, you can’t help but breathe more profoundly here.

The freshest of air inspires us to exercise outdoors and often. The 1.5km jogging track is a stimulating start or end to the day, and the infinity edged pool, which appears to drop over the valley’s rim, offers breathtaking views. Heated in the early and late hours, and left naturally cool during the day, the system keeps the waters always at the ideal temperature. Sun loungers, umbrellas and a sunken pool bar have their draw too.
